FILMS

Some would describe us as an old fashion film company, we prefer vintage.  FINC is a company whose goal is to tell true, heartfelt, personal stories. We have no desire to make the biggest explosions or the obvious choice, nor are we influenced by what's popular. We don't need rappers or rock stars to sell our stories. We use our stories to sell our stories.

We connect with consumers at a heart level. We hope to make them laugh and we want to make them cry. But above all, we will make them think. We aim to provoke moments in film where viewers have to ask, “what would I do if that were me?” We strive for uneasy Deja Vu. We shine light on the simple stories that define us. We believe with unwavering certainty that not only is there nothing wrong with intelligent story driven films, but in fact, audiences crave them. We are more than a film company; we are a resurgence of the art form.

T.H.U.G.s

FINC Films is excited to be collaborating with an incredible cast of partners and attached talent to bring my truly first-of-its-kind urban drama film, T.H.U.G.s, from script to screen.

Written and to be directed by me my team already consist of 9-time NBA All-Star and out spoken social justice advocate Paul George (EP), the indie film powerhouse production company Low Spark Films, and the gold standard in artist, athlete, and entertainment representation, CAA, just to name a few.

KILLING LAZARUS

Born in the spirit and backdrop of the Web Series boom of '05 - ‘09 that brought us household name stars and Emmy Award winners like Issa Rae, and Lena Waithe KILLING LAZARUS was my scrappy no budget, directorial / writing debut. Starting from the idea of bringing together the best and biggest names from the black new media world for a truly first of its kind dramatic, feature length project. Produced by Issa Rae Presents it also feature internet rock - stars Dormtainment (also producers).

This two hour Dramatic labor of love made an unpredictable splash finding its way to packed screening nation wide and on to the screens of some country’s biggest, most prestigious urban film festivals. Festivals including The American Black Film Festival, Pan African Film Festival, and more. Even winning the Audience Choice Award at the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival. A cautionary urban tale steeped in weighty subject matter from mental health to spirituality, drugs, and gang culture, KILLING LAZARUS ultimately went on to find its home on Amazon Prime, Google Play, and a virtual litany of transactional VOD platforms, world wide.
